Individual therapy is your opportunity to dig deeper and do the true healing work. You can expect individualized goals and interventions catered to your unique needs. The first two to three sessions will be used to complete an assessment in which the I will gather a full medical, social, and mental health history. We then work together to formulate a treatment plan and discuss the various interventions that will help you meet your goals. All individual sessions are confidential, and structured to provide you a compassionate setting to safely explore your thoughts and feelings. Individual therapy can help you develop coping strategies to manage stressors of daily life, gain insight into your thoughts and feelings and behaviors, recover from trauma, decrease frequency and severity of anxiety and depression symptoms, build self esteem, navigate difficult relationships, and strengthen your relationship with yourself! Trauma Healing for the Empath
Brighter Minds Therapy currently offers one group that meets one and a half hours every week. This is a closed group, meaning the group meets for eight weeks and the same members are present each week. Group therapy is a great opportunity to develop coping strategies, get insights from peers, and find support from others who know what you are going through. It is structured each week to combine psychoeducation, skill building, and processing. While this group is developed for trauma healing, we ask that group members refrain from sharing their trauma experiences in order to mitigate risk of re-traumatization and secondary traumatization. On that note, it is highly recommended to participate in individual therapy participating in group therapy to further process things that come up during group sessions.
The group therapy fee is required prior to starting the group. Insurance is not billed for groups, but you can request a superbill to possibly get reimbursement from your insurance.
*Please note that at least three group members are required to host the group. If there are not enough candidates enrolled by the start of the eight weeks, the start date will be postponed until enough individuals are registered.
*Also note that group participation is contingent upon a video screening. In order to provide the group a safe and comfortable environment, we monitor for appropriate fit.
